College football: Dez Bryant loses appeal
The NCAA rejected a final appeal to reinstate Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant. An attorney for Bryant said Thursday that the one-year penalty handed down by the NCAA for lying to an investigator amounted to a "death penalty" for his client's college career, considering that he's likely to enter next year's NFL draft. WAC suspends replay official — The Western Athletic Conference has suspended replay official Michael Goshima for this weekend after he failed to overturn a call in a game last weekend between San Jose State and Boise State. The suspension was based on a play where a runner was ruled short of a first down and Goshima's review incorrectly upheld the ruling on the field.
