The Belleville East High School Marching Lancers recently ended their two-week band camp. The camp helped the band prepare for competitions and live performances during parades and football games. The band camp ended with a performance of the show "The Brain 101" for family members.

The band also marched in the Fairview Heights Homecoming Parade on Aug. 13.

The band will host the Belleville East Marching Invitational on Sept. 10. The competition includes 14 bands and will begin at 10 a.m. at the high school's football stadium. Admission is $6 for adults, $4 for children 5-12 and free for children under 5.
