Twenty-six Collinsville High School seniors were named Illinois State Scholars in 2011. State Scholars rank in the top 10 percent of the state’s high school seniors from 711 high schools in Illinois’ 102 counties. Selection is based on ACT and Prairie State Achievement Exams and GPA at the end of a student’s junior year. This year’s honorees were Linsdey Andrews, Brittany Arnold, Dominic Baima, Benjamin Bauer, Michael Bednara, Alex Bilskey, Blake Bluemner, Logan Dalley, Andrew Doyon, Erich Frechman, Zachary Gibbs, Christopher He, Rebecca Hermes, Matthew Kitsch, Micah Lauth, Adrianna Masden, Mary McCarthy, Abigail McVickar, Michael Menges, Alyssa Miller, Grant Parker, Katherine Ross, Sarah Rudis, Nathaniel Steele, Robert Sullivan and Tyler Thomas.
