The Glen Carbon library will host “Women in the Civil War,” a historical talk on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 6:30 p.m. The talk will be presented by Gary Jackson in the community room and will focus on women’s role in the Civil war, including nurses, spies and guerilla soldiers. On Saturday, Feb. 11, the library will have “Teddy Bear Valentine’s Day,” in the children’s room. From 1-3 p.m., children can bring their teddy bears to share in snacks, games and crafts.
