The Edwardsville Arts Center will exhibit entries to its All Media Competition starting Feb. 17, in the gallery at 6165 Center Grove Road. A opening reception will be held from 6-8 p.m. More than 20 artists will be on display who are participating in the 2012 competition juried by Robin Hirsch of Art St. Louis.

Also on display will be student artwork from Liberty Middle School in the student gallery. 

Illinois governor topic of coffee talk 

Edwards Coles, former Illinois governor, will be the center of discussion at the Feb. 17, Coffee Talk at the Main Street Community Care Center in Edwardsville. 

Edna Grench, docent of the Madison County Historical Society, will lead the discussion.
