The valentines were distributed to active duty personnel at Scott Air Force Base and those recovering from injury and illness at the Walter Reed Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. Veterans at the Marion and Illiana Veterans Administration Medical Centers, The St. Louis VA Medical Center John Cochran and Jefferson Barracks Division, the Mt. Vernon, Springfield and Effingham VA Clinics as well as the Illinois Veterans Homes in Quincy and Anna, Ill., also received the valentines.
