The city of Edwardsville Parks and Recreation Department has opened registration for their summer sports programs. Registration forms can be found at www.cityofedwardsville.com. Call 618-692-7538 for questions. 

Youth Softball

• Grades kindergarten through sixth, $50 per child. Extra $10 for participants residing outside of Edwardsville. Registration due by March 1. League play begins May 14. 

• Seventh and eighth grade and high school. Registration takes place as teams. To find a team call 618-692-7538. 

Adult softball

• Fast and slow pitch, ages 17 and older. Deadline March 15. Play begins week of May 7. 

Coed sand volleyball 

• Ages 17 and older. Registration due March 15, and limited to 16 teams. Games played Monday nights at Hoppe Park beginning May 14. Season lasts seven weeks.

Tennis 

• Beginners to advanced, lessons and leagues. Lessons held Wednesday nights at Edwardsville High School tennis courts from 7-8:30 p.m. Registration deadline April 26.
