Art Park Ost and Gallery 1410 opens the Winter 2012 gallery season with the work of three artists from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville working toward completion of their studio. The artists include Julia Devine, a traditional artist working in graphite to depict the communication of hands and sign language through figural elements; Laura Blair, who works with sculptural ceramics based on her connection to natural spaces and their geology; and Matthew Turner, who uses drawing and sculpture to explore the concept of the body as a container and the relationship between absence and presence.

The show runs through the mid-March. APO and Gallery 1410 is located at 1410 Niedringhaus Avenue in Granite City.
