Tale of scandal headed to SIUE

The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Department of Theatre and Dance will present Servy-n-Bernice 4Ever on the stage of the Dunham Hall Theater Wednesday, Feb. 22-Sunday, Feb. 26. The production tells the story of Bernice, a young, black model living in Boston living a life built on a fictitious past. A former lover, Servy, comes to Bernice’s rescue after she sends him a letter about a cruel boyfriend. The story examines Servy’s criminal past and Bernice’s need for reinvention. The play contains adult language and situations. 

Show time is 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday through Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Cost is $10 for adults, $ for seniors (65 and older), all others are $8. SIUE students are free with a valid I.D. Dunham Hall is located on SIUE’s campus. Free parking available in lot E. 

The department’s next production will be Cinderella, a new adaptation by Sean Graney, on April 18-22. This will not be a musical for children.
