Abortion, birth control debates do not belong in politics

A main theme in today's politics is abortions, this is a religious topic and actually those who are supportive of a woman's choice are having their freedom of religion denied. Yes, having an abortion is not good and all involved suffer. The anti-abortionists only talk of the child; no thought for the woman who bears that burden all her life. Furthermore, when you hear of a child, neglected, abused or even beaten to death, people are outraged. Much of the time, these children were not wanted and cause much distress to the family.

Presently, there is debate over whether hospitals with religious support can offer contraception to employees in the insurance plans. I definitely support President Obama in his decision on contraception coverage. The denial of coverage for birth control for millions of women is a denial of religious freedoms for all women. This topic needs understanding and compassion for all involved. It does not belong in politics.
