Costello was right to stand up for firearms' owners
It is not very often that I have an opportunity to praise a Democrat, however a word of thanks is in order to Rep. Jerry Costello II for his House Bill 3802. About time someone had the guts to stand up to people that would prey on folks suffering the loss of a loved for political gain. So thank you sir.
I and a lot of other gun owners in Illinois would like to see someone like you introduce a bill doing away with the Firearm Owner's Identification card as soon as possible. This card is nothing but a pain for gun owners and is so worthless it cannot even be used as a picture ID in most places. Looks like nothing more than a source of revenue for the state and sure doesn't have much effect on illegal use of firearms.
While you are at it, how about introducing a bill establishing conceal and carry law in Illinois. Why should we be the only state in the union still denying citizens the right to protect themselves.
