The Rockwood School District's Relay For Life organization was presented a Thanks a Million award for its cumulative donation of $1.1 million dollars to the American Cancer Society during the past 11 years.

Rockwood is one of only 18 Relay For Life events in Missouri to receive the award. It was presented in January at the annual Relay Summit, a leadership convention for organizers to share strategies for improving their Relay For Life events.

This year's Rockwood Relay For Life will be held June 1-2 at Rockwood Summit High School in Fenton.
