Four members of St. Anthony's Medical staff recently were installed on the board of the St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Society.

Robert McMahon, J.D, M.D., was installed as president of the organization; Joseph Craft III, M.D., was installed as vice president; and Salim I. Hawatmeh, M.D., and Brian G. Peterson, M.D., were elected to three-year terms as councilors.

McMahon is board-certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He served as a St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Society councilor from 2000 to 2002 and 2007 to 2009, as vice president in 2010 and as president-elect in 2011. He served as speaker of the Missouri State Medical Association House of Delegates from 2008 to 2010.
