Below is a list of animals ready to adopt from the Jefferson County Animal Shelter. When inquiring about a specific animal, use the identification number listed.

1. No. 163222 — Feline, white with gray on top of head.

2. No. 163246 — Feline named Taz, already neutered and declawed, orange.

3. No. 164592 — Feline, gray, friendly.

4. No. 164505 — Female beagle, tricolor, sweet dog.

5. No. 163657 — Male Chihuahua/rat terrier mix, small, tan, sweet little dog.

6. No. 164264 — Male Jack Russell mix, small, white/brown, bobbed tail.

7. No. 164645 — Male beagle mix, named Bud, black/white.

8. No. 164935 — Male cocker spaniel mix, black.

9. No. 165020-21-22-23 — Male and female mixed-breed puppies.

10. No. 164511 — Male golden retriever mix, friendly, a must-see.

11. No. 165185 Male Basset hound mix, brown, small, a real sweetheart.

ADOPTION FEES

Dogs and cats: $135

Fee includes spaying/neutering, first set of vaccinations, one-year rabies vaccine, heartworm/feline leukemia test, avid microchip, fecal exam and complete health exam.

Animals that have already been altered will have a $50 adoption fee and still be sent to the vet.

The Jefferson County Animal Shelter is at 7105 Shelter Road, Barnhart. Operating hours are: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday — Wednesday; noon to 5 p.m. Thursday; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. The phone number is 636-797-5577.
