Parties in the Park, hosted by the Clayton Chamber of Commerce, are moving out of Shaw Park and on to the streets of downtown Clayton starting Wednesday, May 11.

In its 28th season of live music and refreshments, Parties in the Park will now be "Parties in the Park in Downtown Clayton." Meramec Avenue, between Forsyth Boulevard and Maryland Avenue, will be the site of the free events.

Also, the series of Parties will be from 5 to 8:30 p.m. the second Wednesday of each month through September, a half hour longer than in years past.

The new setting will include a stage for live music, lounge furniture, tropical plants, tented tables, beer, and food from local restaurants.

Half-priced beer will be offered from 5 to 5:30 p.m.

For more information, call the chamber at (314) 726-3033 or visit www.partiesinthepark.org.
