Staying healthy: A Green Park/Advance 360 registered dietician will speak at 2 p.m. The topic will be foods that help lower cholesterol. Friday, Feb. 8

Mardi Gras banquet: The second annual St. Louis Beekeepers Mardi Gras Banquet will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. at Maritz, 1400 S. Highway Drive in Fenton. Saturday, Feb. 9

Beekeepers workshop: The Eastern Missouri Beekeepers Association will offer separate courses for beginners and experienced beekeepers  at Maritz, 1400 S. Highway Drive in Fenton. Valentine evening: Food, live music and dancing will be part of a Valentine event at the Missouri Botanical Garden. The event will run from 6 to 10 p.m. in the Ridgway Visitor Center. The orchid show will be available for touring. Reservations are required. The fee is $75 per person for members; $85 per person for nonmembers. A cash bar is available. Club meeting: The monthly meeting of the Tesson Ferry Township Republican Club will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at Hessler’s Pub, 11804 Tesson Ferry Road at Baptist Church Road. Laumeier art: "Cocktails & Conversation: 35 Years of Art at Laumeier" is scheduled for 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, in the indoor galleries at Laumeier Sculpture Park, 12580 Rott Road in Sunset Hills. The event is free. Curator of exhibitions Dana Turkovic will discuss the history of Laumeier's collection and past exhibitions.

"Concepts Take Shape": A one-day studio workshop is planned for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Laumeier Sculpture Park, 12580 Rott Road in Sunset Hills. Themes of the Laumeier library will be discussed. Topics from past exhibitions will be explored. Participants will create their own correlating artwork. The cost is $40. Whitecliff Park run: The city of Crestwood and the Running Center will host a 3.5-mile run on the trails of Whitecliff Park at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23. The course will be a double loop through the trails and paths of the park, starting and finishing near the softball field. A sweet time: Adorned cakes and cookies will be displayed at the "Sugared, Spiced and Everything Iced" event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Lindbergh trivia night: Lindbergh High School Alumni Association’s ninth annual Trivia Night for Scholarships will take place Saturday, March 9, at Crestwood Community Center, 9245 Whitecliff Park Lane. Adult egg hunt: The county parks department at Friends of Jefferson Barracks will host the 15th annual Adult Egg Hunt at Jefferson Barracks Park Friday, March 22, and Saturday, March 23, from 9 to 11 p.m. Advanced registration is required.
