Web Innovations & Technology Services and the city of Chesterfield have teamed to provide West County residents with a free drop-off location for electronics.
Items can be dropped off from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every fourth Saturday of the month from February to November at the east end of the Chesterfield Valley Athletic Complex, 17891 North Outer 40 Road.
No fees will be charged, however, donations will be accepted to cover handling expenses.
Acceptable items include computers, laptops, monitors, printers, cables and peripherals like keyboards and mice; networking equipment, telecommunications, phones and clocks; TVs, VCRs, stereos and other audio/video/satellite/cable equipment; home electronics, like blenders and toasters; white goods like washers, dryers, dishwashers, furnaces and air conditioning equipment; electrical, cabling, and communication machinery and equipment; lawn equipment and tools; old motors, transformers, and all electrical equipment; car and lead-containing batteries; and CDs, VHS tapes, DVDs, cassettes, DAT, and all types of software.
No paints, tires, hazardous chemicals or wood products will be accepted.
Business and residents can request a low-cost pick up service.
