State shouldn't touch college funds

I think it's a bad idea for the state of Missouri to dip into the college reserve funds. They said, "Well, we'll pay it back." When? If they don't have the money now, what makes them think they're gong to have the money in the future? I doubt it. What is the college going to do if something happens and they need to dip into the reserve funds? Who's going to have to make up the difference? The students going to college? They have a hard enough time getting money for college.

MoDOT must readjust traffic signals

How many times do you have to call MoDOT to get something taken care of? The traffic signal heads for northbound Seven-Up Drive and Innerbelt Business Center Drive, at Page, have been turned away for traffic for over a month. Do they have to wait until someone gets injured or killed and then they'll decide to go ahead and readjust the signal heads? That sounds like Richmond Heights not bothering to do anything about pick-up trucks parked in the street for a year without state licenses. If the people live there, you would think they'd have a Missouri license by now, if they weren't trying to cheat the system and not pay taxes.

Chesterfield employees excellent

I want to say "thank you" to Chesterfield city employees. This is an excellent place to live, with our wonderful parks system, shopping centers, trails, arts. A small thank-you gift at this time of the year is well-deserved. Thank you for all you do. When you call City Hall, concerns are addressed. Streets are great. At least they aren't giving themselves CEO bonus amounts.

Thanks to outdoor workers

I am having a room added to my home and am amazed and grateful for the men working outside in the cold, the rain and drizzle. Thanks to all who labor outdoors. You are truly appreciated.

Pujols is smiling now

According to the paper, LaRussa said Pujols is pained. I know one thing: Pujols is smiling now. But did you ever see the DeWitts smile? Never, never. Even when they took their millions to the bank, they don't smile. You'll crack your face. He set a good example for the Cardinal dugout telling the players not to smile. Smiling is a big business, and if you smile, you're gone. I'm the boss.
