A MOONLIGHT BIKE RIDE will take place from 9-11:30 p.m. July 15 at Quail Ridge Park, near the intersection of Highway 40 and Interstate 70. Participants will ride along trails that combine open, flat areas with steep, wooded hillsides. The park features four miles of natural-surface terrain and three miles of paved surface trail. DISCOVER NATURE: CANOEING & FISHING THE MERAMEC RIVER will take place from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. July 15, 22 or 29 on the Meramec River near Eureka, between Pacific Palisades Conservation Area and the Allenton Access. Event is open to ages 10 and up. This is a seven-mile float. Families will learn about aquatic ecosystems, flooding, erosion, how wildlife survive in a changing river world and the role humans play in protecting the aquatic resources. Participants must be good swimmers and have at least one participant over 18 years of age per canoe. The dates are for three separate float opportunities and only one float per family is allowed. The D.A.R.E. ROD RUN will take place from 6-9 p.m. July 15 in Wright City and 6-9 p.m. Aug. 5 in Wentzville. There is a $10 donation to cruise. FAMILY SUMMER SERIES returns at 10 a.m. every Wednesday and Thursday, ending Aug. 4, at various Wehrenberg Theatres. St. Charles County theaters include: Mid Rivers 14 Cine, 1220 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters; St. Charles Stadium 18 Cine, 1830 First Capitol Drive, St. Charles; and Town Square 12 Cine, 7805 Highway N, Dardenne Prairie. CAMP KICK FLIP will take place from 8 a.m.-noon starting each Monday through Aug. 12 at the Youth Activity Park, 801 Highway N, Dardenne Prairie. This is a week-long skate camp which will teach participants basic to intermediate skating techniques and tricks. Participants will receive a T-shirt, water bottle, free admission to the YAP and a pizza party the last day of camp. Cost is $80. Camp is limited to 10 participants for each week.
