In concert

The Highlands and Heirs will be in concert at 6 p.m. Feb. 18 at Fairmount General Baptist Church, 2299 St. Peters-Howell Road in St. Peters. Admission is free. For more information, call 636-498-4475.

Guest speaker

Juan Melendez, who was cleared of a murder conviction after spending nearly 18 years on death row in Florida, will present his story of survival, faith and hope at 7 p.m. Feb. 21 in the Celebration Room at Sts. Joachim and Ann Care Service, 4116 McClay Road in St. Peters. The event is cosponsored by the St. Charles Deanery Social Justice Network. Free-will donations will be collected. Women's conference

Grace Community Chapel, 7661 Mexico Road in St. Peters, will host a women's conference, titled "Growing Up and Growing Deep," from 6:30-9 p.m. Feb. 24 and 8-11:45 a.m. Feb. 25. Parent's Day Out

Child of God Lutheran School, 650 Salt Lick Road in St. Peters, will offer a Parent's Day Out Program for 2-year-old children beginning Aug. 20. Open enrollment begins March 1.

The program will give parents an opportunity to take care of personal business or work part time while giving their children a chance to play and interact with other kids. The classroom will be arranged to give them opportunities to work with art projects, building blocks and participate in other activities that develop motor skills.

Class size is limited; classes will be filled on a first-come, first served basis. Enrollment forms are available at www.coglcs.org and in the office. Participating children must be 2 years old by Aug. 1. Children are registered by reserving space for selected days of the week, with payment due on the first of each month. Registration fee is $75.

The program is scheduled for 8:15-11:45 a.m. Monday through Friday, Aug. 20, 2012 through May 17, 2013. An optional extended day is offered on Wednesdays from 11:45 a.m.-3:15 p.m. For more information or to arrange a tour, call 636-970-7080.
