Computerworld magazine this month named National Information Solutions Cooperative the nation's 15th best place to work in the field of information technology.
The company has offices in Lake Saint Louis and Mandan, N.D.
It marks the 10th time the publication has placed the company in its top 100. Last year the company was ranked 22nd. In 2009 it was 52nd.
This year NISC was first overall in the sub-category of career development.
"We hire the best and the brightest and we work hard to make sure that they have the educational opportunities or stay current in the rapidly changing technology world," said Vern Dosch in a company news release. Dosch is NISC's CEO and president.
"Without doubt, our investment in education and training pays dividends," he said.
NISC creates software for rural utility cooperatives. NISC is a cooperative, too. The hundreds of small companies NISC serves are members and owners. NISC develops their software and handles their data processing and billing.
