Compiled from selected police department reports

1. Stealing from a motor vehicle. Reported 7:30 a.m. Feb. 8 on South Kingshighway. A laptop, GPS, iPod, credit card, wallet and backpack were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

2. Stealing. Reported 6:25 p.m. Feb. 8 on Westminister Drive. Numerous diamond and gold pieces of jewelry as well as various pieces of currency were reported stolen. Value was placed at $9,529. A suspect was identified.

3. Stealing. Reported 12:30 p.m. Feb. 8 on Fountain Lakes Boulevard. A woman's 14k yellow gold wedding band was left on the counter of a break room. When she came back looking for it, it was gone. Value was placed at $6,200.

4. Stealing. Reported 1:11 p.m. Feb. 9 on Veterans Memorial Parkway. Six $20 bills were removed from a purse on a business counter. An unknown female was suspected.

5. Burglary. Reported 4:34 a.m. Feb. 10 on Old Highway 94 South. A cash register and currency were reported stolen. Value was placed at $649. Entry was made by forcing a garage door.

6. Stealing from a motor vehicle. Reported 4:23 p.m. Feb. 10 on Mexico Road. A laptop and purse were reported stolen from a vehicle. Value was placed at $2,050.

7. Stealing. Reported Feb. 11 at InTowne Suites, 1769 Veterans Memorial Parkway. The victim and suspect were living in hotels for the past two weeks. The victim permitted the suspect to borrow her 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier, but the suspect removed all of the victim's personal items from the car, stole a debit card and never returned the car. Value of the missing items was placed at $1,500. The car was later recovered.

8. Burglary. Reported 5:30 a.m. Feb. 13 on Waterfront Grove. Credit and debit cards were reported stolen from a house while the residents were asleep. Entry was made through an unlocked sliding glass door.
