Outstanding column
I'm a great-grandma for 23 years and I've been looking at this (Opinion Shaper) article this young man Evan Loveless wrote ("Drug abuse brings false freedom," Jan. 11 Journal), trying to think of something very brilliant to say, except what an outstanding young man! I can't even imagine how proud his family has to be of him. That was an outstanding article. I have great-grandkids up to 23 years old. I'd be very proud to call that young man my grandson.
Excellent column
Welcome back Opinion Shaper Evan Loveless. Your column in the Jan. 11 Journal, "Drug abuse brings false freedom," is excellent. We sure have missed hearing from you and hope to hear more from you in the near future.
Put down the phone
My comment is about people on cell phones while they are driving down a highway. They need to pass a law that says nobody should be on cell phones while they are driving. The number of people you see on their cell phones talking and not paying attention to the cars in front of them, beside them or anything else is amazing. It's a miracle we don't have more people killed because people are too interested in their conversations on their cell phone and holding their cell phone instead of driving the car.
