CBS has named its new morning newscast "CBS This Morning," the same title the morning show had from 1987-99. The new "CBS This Morning" debuts Jan. 9 with Charlie Rose and Gayle King joining Erica Hill.
ABC Family has picked up "Pretty Little Liars" for a third season.
"Dirty Jobs" and "Swamp Loggers" return Dec. 13 on Discovery.
Rachael Ray and Guy Fieri will square off to coach eight celebrities in culinary challenges, with a top prize (for charity) of $50,000. "Rachael Vs. Guy Celebrity Cook-Off" premieres at 8 p.m. Jan. 1 on Food Network. Celebrities are Olympic swimmer/sportscaster Summer Sanders; actor Lou Diamond Phillips; singers Aaron Carter, Joey Fatone and Taylor Dayne and Coolio; comedian Cheech Marin; and Miss USA 2011 Alyssa Campanella.
"Wife Swap" is back -- with a twist. "Celebrity Wife Swap," in which "the mothers in two celebrity families with vastly diverse values switch homes (but not bedrooms)," begins Jan. 3 on ABC. Swaps include the wives of Gary Busey and evangelist Ted Haggard; Tracey Gold and Carnie Wilson; and Niecy Nash and Tina Yothers.
"The Game" (with Brandy Norwood joining the cast) and "Let's Stay Together" return Jan. 10 on BET.
The new A&E reality series "Shipping Wars," which debuts Jan. 10, "follows six independent shippers who have discovered that fortunes could be made transporting items that traditional carriers won't touch."
"White Collar" and "Royal Pains" return Jan. 17 and 18, respectively, on USA, which will launch the new series "Common Law" on Jan. 26. The 12-episode series stars Michael Ealy and Warren Kole as odd-couple cops whose captain sends them to couples therapy. Jack McGee and Sonya Walger also star.
Comedy Central has set a midseason schedule including "Indecision 2012" on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and "The Colbert Report" (Jan. 3); the series premiere of sketch comedy "Key & Peele" (Jan. 31); new seasons of "Tosh.0" (Jan. 31) and "South Park" (March 14); and the stand-up series "Russell Simmons Presents The Ruckus" (Jan. 26). "Viewers are advised to stay indoors (and) hit the couch," Comedy Central says.
"Eastbound and Down" returns Feb. 19 on HBO for an eight-episode third season. It's paired with "Life's Too Short," described as "a faux documentary starring actor Warwick Davis as a fictionalized version of himself: a down-and-out little person desperately trying to hustle and connive his way back into the spotlight."
VH1 is launching a series of music-theme biopics with one telling "the dramatic story behind the legendary '90s R&B/hip-hop/pop trio TLC." The two surviving members of the group, Chilli and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, are consultants and executive producers. No air date has been set.
Production of Season 2 of MTV's "Teen Wolf" has begun in Atlanta, for a summer return. "All first-season series regulars, including Tyler Posey, Crystal Reed, Dylan O'Brien, Tyler Hoechlin, Holland Roden and Colton Haynes, are back," MTV says.
