SUMMARY:
Reports directly to the Director of Food Service. Performs kitchen duties at assigned school
building, including working as a team member with one or more employees in the daily
preparation of school breakfast, lunch and special school functions as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Basic knowledge of arithmetic, spelling, English and grammar. Accuracy in checking,
posting, proofreading and counting, requiring a basic skills knowledge. Equivalent to high school
diploma.
Experience: Requires a minimum of three months up to and including one year of experience in
quantity food preparation and service or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Skills and Abilities which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly
associated with this position:Apply commonsense understanding to carry out one or two-step
instructions. Deal with standardized situations with occasional or no variables in or from these
situations encountered on the job.

Custodian
SUMMARY:
Reports to the building’s head custodian or his/her designee and is responsible for performing
custodial tasks in accordance with standard practices of the institutional housekeeping trades.
Will observe and abide by the policies adopted by the Special Administrative Board and the
rules and regulations of the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the above noted
essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,
skills, and/or abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals
with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Graduate of a general or technical high school, or equivalent.
• Some experience in general institutional housekeeping or any equivalent combination of training or
experience preferred.
• Ability to work well in supervised and unsupervised situations.
• Ability to work cooperatively at various sites and locations.
• Ability to climb ladder to inspect and replace light bulbs and ceiling tiles.
• Ability to lift, carry and store all normal custodial supplies up to 50 pounds independently.
• Ability to be on your feet 7 out of 8 hours per day.
• Ability to inspect and read work orders.

Instructional Assistant (Paraprofessional) 2021-2022
SUMMARY: Report directly to the building principal or his/her designee. Assists with
appropriate classroom activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists with instructional programs and general school operations.
• Participates in daily and long-range lesson and classroom activity planning.
• Conducts learning exercises with small groups of children.
• Guides children in working and playing harmoniously with other children.
• Alerts the teacher to the special needs of individual children.
• Provides escorts assistance for children as necessary.
• Helps maintain informal student performance records.
• Assists teacher(s) in maintaining student work and study areas.
• Assists with the supervision of children during play periods.
• Collects and displays suitable material for educational displays.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 60 college credit credits. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. (Emphasis on teaching)
• Must be able to obtain Substitute Certificate
• Ability and personality to work with colleagues, teachers, and other staff.
