In the heart of the St. Charles community sits Lindenwood University, an institution with a rich history that is differentiating its graduates for a prosperous future.
Led by Dr. John Porter and a team of experts in their fields, Lindenwood is broadening its reach and establishing itself as a networking hub for students of all kinds. With in-person, hybrid and online programs expanding at a rapid rate, Lindenwood University’s diversity of academic offerings continues to adapt to meet the needs of all learners.
Since October 2020, Lindenwood has signed partnership agreements with three community colleges to welcome transfer students to the St. Charles campus. St. Charles Community College, Mineral Area College and most recently, Lewis & Clark Community College students now have direct pathways for enrollment and scholarships to help find a bridge to their future.
Student support drives success
When students arrive at Lindenwood, they are placed on a path to success and offered support and mentorship as they pursue their passions. Dedicated student success advisors mentor first-year students through the transition to Lindenwood and help students identify their strengths through academic programming that excites them and propels them forward into meaningful and impactful careers. UNIV classes engage first-year students with their classmates, their new campus and the local community. Lion Life Coaches connect with students through academic engagement, problem resolution and provision of resources.
Experiential learning fuels post-graduate pursuits
Lindenwood students engage in tailored, high-impact practices that enrich the classroom experience and expand the learning environment beyond the traditional four walls. Education majors are student-teaching in local elementary schools to develop core competencies necessary for running a classroom and educating future generations, while business students are interning with corporate partners to develop business acumen. Future science professionals are engaged in cutting-edge research opportunities both on campus and off, and budding artists have the chance to explore their medium in state-of-the-art facilities for dance, theatre, design and more. With real-world, experiential learning opportunities of the highest quality, students leave Lindenwood empowered to make an immediate impact in their post-graduate pursuits.
A growing alumni network expands beyond St. Charles, with professionals working in countless fields and communities, nationwide and on a global scale. Because of the University’s deep-seated commitment to personalized education and fostering an atmosphere of success, many Lindenwood graduates work closely with the campus community through alumni mentorship programs, serving as guest speakers or lecturers for classes and even choosing to continue their careers where they began – as Lindenwood employees. The investment in one’s future starts at Lindenwood.
The admissions and student financial services teams are eager to meet with students and their families during the campus visit to talk about the educational investment of attending Lindenwood. These important campus partners serve as a valuable resource to prospective Lions throughout the college search.
And, Lindenwood firmly believes that families should not have to sacrifice educational quality based on financial resources. As part of the University’s commitment to higher education access, Lindenwood leads the way in affordability for private institutions in Missouri. Investing in students and their pursuit of excellence demonstrates the University’s focus on student-centric education and forward-thinking, as many students graduate and begin notable careers in the greater St. Louis metro. The institution educates with intentionality to meet the needs of the job market and prepare students for success.
