Yield Lab, which already operates agribusiness accelerators in North America, Europe and South America, is adding a fourth fund in Asia.
The new fund, like the others, will invest $100,000 apiece in early-stage agriculture-related companies chosen for the accelerator program. Claire Pribula, who has worked in Asia for IBM, SAP and other companies, will be managing director of Yield Lab Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.
Yield Lab's website lists 20 portfolio companies. It says it has invested $2.5 million in North American companies that have attracted $70 million in additional capital.
