Patients and their pets will soon be able to cuddle and play at St. Louis Children's Hospital.
The Purina Family Pet Center opens Wednesday, with the first patients expected to host their dogs and cats in June. Families can bring their pets to the center for their reunion with hospitalized kids. The center is the fourth of its kind in hospitals worldwide.
The hospital already welcomes service dogs who help ease kids' anxieties and loneliness during their stays.Â
