The home foreclosure rate has stabilized in metro St. Louis, but fewer people are delinquent on their mortgages, according to a new report.
Data from CoreLogic shows that 3.33 percent of people with mortgages here were 90 days behind in their payments as of July. That number has been steadily creeping downward. It stood at 4.4 percent at the beginning of 2013.
Meanwhile, 0.78 percent of homes with mortgages were in foreclosure in July, according to the real estate analysis company. That number has been holding fairly steady since April, following a long, uneven decline. It stood at 1.31 percent in January of 2013.
