ProPharma Group plans to open a Missouri office in Maryland Heights, adding 10 jobs initially with the promise of more to come.

Missouri officials announced on Monday that the Kansas City-based firm will open a new medical information contact center in the Riverport office area. The location will primarily employ pharmacists, nurses, and other medical professionals.

ProPharma helps its clients navigate compliance requirements in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries. It also helps its clients improve operations in a heavily regulated environment.

“The St. Louis metropolitan area has always been an important location because of the strong base of drug and device manufacturers.” ProPharma Group President Jeff Hargroves said in a statement Monday released by the Missouri Department of Economic Development. “Establishing this regional, fully-staffed office will allow us to better serve existing and new clients in the area.”

The Missouri Department of Economic Development offered a "strategic incentive package" to ProPharma that the company will receive if it meets "strict job creation criteria," according to the department's statement.

ProPharma expects to grow its employee base to 36 individuals over the next several years, according to the statement.
