An Arkansas metal roofing and siding manufacturer will build a location in St. Peters that is estimated to create 88 new jobs.

Central States Manufacturing, which operates nine locations throughout the South and Midwest, plans to build the $6.3 million facility at 9001 Premier Parkway next to the Premier 370 Industrial Park.

It will have $2.641 million dollars in annual payroll, according to a release from the Missouri Department of Economic Development and the city of St. Peters, or about $30,000 per job.

If it hits job-creation thresholds, the company may receive up to $692,611 in incentives from the state’s Missouri Works program and up to $60,000 from Missouri’s workforce training programs. The city has also approved 50 percent tax abatement for up to 10 years.

“It was a great pleasure to work alongside the Missouri Department of Economic Development, the St. Louis Regional Chamber and the city of St. Peters to support Central States Manufacturing as they create 88 new jobs in St. Peters,” said Steve Johnson, CEO of Missouri Partnership, which works to advertise the state and attract investment from beyond its borders.

Johnson was tapped to lead a new group formed by the region’s private business associations that will focus on attracting corporate investment here.

Central States’ investment in Premier 370 follows big commitments by Amazon, FedEx and other companies to build facilities that will employ over 1,500 people in the business park.

Editor's note: This story has been updated to clarify that a tax increment financing district no longer exists on the property. St. Peters removed the TIF on the property last year.
