Southwest Airlines, the dominant carrier at St. Louis Lambert International Airport, is set to add nonstop weekend service between St. Louis and Salt Lake City beginning Aug. 10, according to the airline.
A check of the airline's website shows its flight on Aug. 10 — a Saturday — leaves St. Louis at 11 a.m. for Salt Lake City.
The next day, it takes off at 3:30 p.m.
Daily service on that route is expected to start Oct. 2, Southwest said.
Southwest has added almost a dozen nonstop markets in the last three years to its St. Louis roster. It operates about 118 daily departures from the airport.
The airline's market share grew last year to 60.3 percent of passengers boarding at Lambert, up from 57.5 percent in 2017.
