ST. LOUIS • The Washington University School of Medicine is planning a $300 million neuroscience building and parking garage in the Cortex business district.

University spokeswoman Diane Duke Williams said the project “is in the early stages” and she did not have detailed information to share.

The St. Louis Business Journal, which broke the story, said the development could be the most expensive in school history, surpassing the current redesign of the university’s Skinker Boulevard entrance, tagged at $240 million when announced more than three years ago.
