There's less than a week left to vote for a local favorite in the Lady Godiva Program, Godiva Chocolatier's recognition of "inspirational women around the world who embody the attributes of Lady Godiva through selflessness, generosity, leadership and the spirit of giving back to the community."
Molly Rockamann, founding director of EarthDance Farms — which promotes sustainable agriculture and small, locally owned farms, among other elements of its mission — is one of two finalists in the Environment category of the awards. Winners in each of three categories (the other two are Children, Families and Poverty and Health, Wellness and Hunger) will receive $3,000 grant for their organizations, and one winner will receive $10,000.
Another St. Louisan, Simone Bernstein of VolunTEENnation.org, is a finalist in the Children, Families and Poverty category.
Voting continues through May 18. The rules allow for voting early and somewhat often — online ballots can be cast once every 24 hours. Each time you vote, you're entered into a lottery for a box of Godiva.
