CARDINALS ASTROS MISSOURI BUSCH STADIUM

Cardinals center fielder Jim Edmonds makes his unforgettable catch of a Brad Ausmus line drive into the left-center field gap during Game 7 of the 2004 NLCS against the Houston Astros at Busch Stadium II.

Former St. Louis Cardinals outfield Jim Edmonds and business partner Mark Winfield opened their new restaurant, Winfield's Gathering Place, Monday at 10312 Manchester Road in Kirkwood.

Edmonds and Winfield also operate the Precinct Sports Bar & Grill at 1900 Locust Street; the duo previously ran Jim Edmonds 15 Steakhouse at that address.

(Edmonds and Winfield had intended to open a restaurant last year in Clayton, but those plans fell through.)

The menu (PDF) at Winfield's Gathering Place includes sandwiches, burgers, barbecue and such main courses as baked rigatoni, lemon-basil mahi mahi and "Wined & Brined" smoked half-chicken.

Winfield's Gathering Place  is open from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday. The phone number is 314-394-2200.
