Bad news for organic eaters: Live Springs Farm, the organic meat-and-egg purveyors out of Carrollton, is closing its doors.

As reported by Feast Magazine, the small farm announced its closure Wednesday in an online announcement to its customers. It had been in business for seven years and its representatives were a familiar sight selling eggs, beef and pork at the Tower Grove Farmers' Market and Schlafly Farmers' market, among others. 

Deposits will be refunded "as soon as we can," according to the announcement. The announcement also said that the farm will be open "for a day soon" to sell "our products at a good discount.

Also for sale are hens, pigs, cattle and a flock of sheep.
