Sister Cities Cajun and BBQ reopened Sunday, four days after a car struck its building at 4144 South Grand Boulevard in Dutchtown.

The city condemned the building on Wednesday, and owner Travis Parfait told the Post-Dispatch that he could see "plenty of daylight" inside the restaurant where the car had hit it.

On Saturday, Parfait and co-owner Pamela Melton announced on Facebook that an engineer had deemed the building structurally sound and that the city had lifted the condemnation order.

A GoFundMe campaign to support the restaurant while it was closed raised just over $1,600. Parfait and Melton have ended that campaign.
