Vicia Restaurant, the highly acclaimed, vegetable-forward eatery that opened last March in the Cortex Innovation Community in the Central West End, just received more acclaim.
Voters in the USA Today 10 Best Readers' Choice Awards named it the second-best new restaurant of 2017 in the nation. Monkitail, a trendy Japanese restaurant in a resort in Hollywood, Fla., came in first.
The award is just the latest recognition that has been bestowed upon Vicia. Eater called it one of the 12 best new restaurants in America, and Bon Appétit listed it as one of the 50 finalists for best new restaurants in America. Nixta, in Botanical Heights, charted at No. 9 on the Bon Appétit list.
