This week at area farmers markets you will find all the summer produce such as watermelon, plums, cantaloupe, sweet corn, peaches, cherries, blueberries, potatoes, tomatoes, zucchini, eggplant, green beans, cucumbers, onions, peppers, carrots, fresh herbs, Swiss chard and more. And you’ll start to see some fall produce: pumpkins, spaghetti squash, delicata, butternut squash, acorn squash, sweet potatoes and decorative gourds. To help you use those peppers, here is a recipe for Stuffed Green Pepper Soup from a previous Let’s Eat story about Pietro’s restaurant.
