Last year, Ming Xu of Ballwin captured an image on a trip to China that won him first prize in our annual Travel Photo Contest. We had more than 1,000 entries.
Xu was on a monthlong trip with his mother to her home of China. One April day in the village of Yangshuo, Guangxi, he and his mom were walking along and came across a fisherman on a boat. The photo he took evoked both another land and feelings of what it must be like to be that fisherman casting his net at the end of the day.
This year, the winner of the Post-Dispatch’s annual travel photo contest could be your photo. We are accepting entries through Nov. 24.
A panel of Post-Dispatch journalists will choose first-, second- and third-place winners, plus honorable mentions. The winners will be announced and published Dec. 29 in the STL Life section.
• Deadline for submitting photos is Nov. 24.
• We will NOT accept photos that are mailed or emailed.
• Uploaded images should be 200 dpi and 8 inches across at their widest dimension, horizontal or vertical. Eight inches is equivalent to 1,600 pixels, if you prefer to size it that way. Save the photo as a jpg.
