• Don’t be surprised to see premature foliage growth on spring bulbs. It’s a normal response during mild winter spells, but does not endanger the flower bud, which grows mainly in response to day length rather than soil temperature.
• Avoid walking on wet soils as this can cause compaction.
• Control fluffy, white mealybugs on houseplants by touching them with cotton swabs soaked in rubbing alcohol.
• Allow tap water to warm to room temperature before using it to water houseplants.
