Rex is a 7-year-old Yorkie mix who came to the Humane Society from a partner shelter in Southeast Missouri hoping to find his happily-ever-after in St. Louis. Rex may be a senior, but his age doesn’t slow him down in the slightest. This little lad loves playtime and going on short walks with his human friends. This sweet and playful guy can’t wait to find a family that will spoil him now and through the rest of his golden years.
To adopt • Apply in person at the Humane Society’s Best Buddy Pet Center in Maryland Heights.
You don’t have to look far to find a superhero friend. Come meet 12-week-old orange tabby Wonder Woman. Unlike the crime-fighting superheroine, you won’t find this Wonder Woman in disguise; she loves to be out when visitors pass by her window. Wonder Woman loves all the action and is looking for a home where she can spend lots of time playing and pouncing with some new human friends. After a frisky and fun play session, Wonder Woman would love nothing more than to curl up and snuggle with you.
To adopt • Apply in person at the Humane Society’s Macklind Avenue headquarters in St. Louis.
Jazira, a 21-year-old Arabian, is a beautiful mare who was surrendered to the Humane Society’s Longmeadow Rescue Ranch after her previous owner could no longer care for her. Jazira is trained for riding and has the energy of an Arabian but also settles down very well when asked. She has been ridden both bareback and with a saddle and knows leg cues, whoa, direct rein cues and has a great back-up.
