Pet of the week: Fluffy Cuddlefur

This is Fluffy Cuddlefur, a 3-year-old tricolor guinea pig who came to the Humane Society of Missouri in late September. Fluffy loves to snack on veggies and to be petted. At this time we would recommend he be the only guinea pig in his new home.

Pet of the week: Microwave

Microwave is a 5-month-old domestic shorthair kitten who arrived at the shelter in mid-September. Microwave is a friendly boy who gets along with everyone. He would make a perfect companion for a young family who can play with him.

Last week's pet, still available: Bonanza

Meet Bonanza, a 20-year-old Percheron mare who was rescued in late April. Bonanza is a smaller draft type horse who appears to have some under saddle training but is green. While she is a polite mare, we wouldn't consider her to be personable. Since coming to Longmeadow, staff and volunteers have spent time to help her come out of her shell but it is a work in progress. Her ideal adopter would be at least an advanced intermediate rider/handler.

Last week's pet, still available: Quack Black

Meet Quack Black, a 3-year-old black Indian runner duck who came to Longmeadow in early August. Like his namesake, Quack Black is a funny and social guy who gets along with everyone and is looking for his forever pond.

Pet of the week: Cleo

Cleo is a 3-year-old beagle mix who came to the Humane Society of Missouri in mid-October. Cleo is a sweet girl who gets along well with everyone but gets a little nervous around cats.
To adopt • Call the Best Buddy Pet Center in Maryland Heights at 314-951-1588 or visit hsmo.org/adopt.
Pet of the week: Mia

Meet Mia, a 7-year-old bay grade unaltered female and a survivor of last October’s Franklin County tractor-trailer accident. Thankfully, Mia managed to walk away from the accident with very minor scrapes and bruises. It does not appear that Mia has training under saddle. Although the trainer has commented that she is a smart mare that soaks everything up like a sponge, she will require a professional trainer to start her under saddle training.

Pet of the week: Larry

This is Larry, a 1-year-old plott hound mix who came to the Humane Society of Missouri after being rescued in early October. Larry is a large and friendly guy who gets along with everyone and would do well with any family looking for a loving companion.
