Pet of the week: Laci

This pretty girl is Laci, a 1-year-old Labrador retriever mix who was rescued by the Animal Cruelty Taskforce. She is a sweet and active girl who is housebroken and loves to meet new people. Laci gets nervous around cats and hasn’t been around too many children, but we’re sure she would get along fine with most kids if introduced properly.

Last week's pet, still available: Margo

Meet Margo, an 11-year-old unaltered female quarter horse who came to Longmeadow in August 2021. This gorgeous gal came to Longmeadow with horribly neglected hooves. After months of rehab, she appears to be much more comfortable. A trainer evaluated Margo under saddle and found that she does have previous training. However, she appears to be out of practice. Margo will require an advanced rider and likely 30 to 60 days of professional training at this time. She will likely not require shoes long term, but until her hoof has fully grown out, she will need to remain shod on the front end.
