BELLEVILLE • Belleville Police report that Susan L. Stone, 48, of Lenzburg, Ill., also known as David Stone, has been charged with two counts of criminal damage to property related to several tire slashings there.
Bail has been set at $125,000.
According to Police Capt. Don Sax, tires on 33 vehicles have been slashed since Oct. 17. Twenty-six of them were hit Sunday, including 15 at the Apostolic Church at 1648 LaSalle Street.
All but two of the vehicles were on business or church lots.
Locations included St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, an Imo’s Pizza, a Lowe’s, a Walgreens, a Walmart, the Eastview Baptist Church, Cook Law Office and a city parking lot.
The department is not looking for anyone else in connection with the case, authorities said.

As a safety precaution, the Police Department is suggesting anyone whose vehicle was on the parking lots of businesses along Carlyle Avenue during the evening hours of Oct. 24 examine their tires. Police said the tires could have damage that hasn't yet caused the tires to lose air.
