A teen pulled a gun and shot a man at close range after a fistfight Sunday in St. Louis, a murder charge says.

Mason Jones, 18, was also charged with armed criminal action in the fatal shooting of Shannon D. Hibler, 23, on Sunday afternoon. Jones was not in custody. Bail was set at $300,000 cash.

Police say Hibler, Jones and Jones' cousin were in a fight about 1:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of Goodfellow Boulevard. Hibler and the cousin hit each other with fists. Jones' cousin was able to force Hibler to the ground.

That's when Jones pulled a gun, charges say. He fired several shots at close range, hitting Hibler seven times, according to court documents.

Surveillance footage from a nearby building shows the incident, police said.

Hibler lived in the 5800 block of Wabada Avenue in St. Louis, according to police.  Jones lives in the 1900 block of Paducah Drive in Dellwood.
