ST. LOUIS • A bicyclist who was struck by a car and killed while riding in St. Louis remains unidentified.
Police say the 18-year-old driver of the 2002 BMW 325 that struck the man is cooperating with the investigation of the crash, which happened in the 4400 block of Gravois Avenue just before midnight Friday, according to police.
The BMW was traveling south on Gravois approaching Taft Avenue when it struck the bicyclist, sending its rider onto the street and wedging the bicycle underneath the car. The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The driver was not injured and remained on the scene, police said.
The bicyclist has not yet been positively identified, police said.
