JENNINGS • A car crashed into a church and one of the men inside the car suffered a gunshot wound at the intersection of Jennings Station Road and Lewis and Clark Boulevard on Friday evening, St. Louis County police said.
Police responded to the intersection for an accident at about 7:50 p.m. and found a car had slammed into Faith and Hope Ministry at the northeast corner of the intersection. A man and a juvenile male were found inside the vehicle. Police say two people fled the car before they arrived.
The man had suffered one gunshot wound and the boy suffered injuries related to the car crash. The man is in critical condition. Both were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police say the car was reported stolen earlier Friday.
