Major Case Squad identifies man shot to death near Cahokia

The Major Case Squad is investigating the shooting death of a man near Cahokia.

Police say Jermion D. Conley was found slain at about 1 a.m. Monday at a home in the 100 block of Amelia Drive, in unincorporated St. Clair County.

Jason Donjon, who is commander of the Major Case Squad, said Conley is in his 40s. Donjon didn't know Conley's address. Donjon is a detective sergeant with the Columbia, Ill., Police Department.

Police were called to the home on Amelia for a home invasion and shooting and found Conley.

Police released no additional information.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Case Squad at 618-825-5200 or CrimeStoppers at 866-371-8477. CrimeStoppers has offered reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
