St. Louis man fatally shot inside convertible

ST. LOUIS • Police are investigating a fatal shooting of a man early Sunday morning as he sat in his car.

The man was shot about 3:25 a.m. in the 4200 block of Neosho Street in south St. Louis.

The man, John Paulsen, 48, of the 900 block of Dover Street, was seated in the driver's seat of his vehicle, closing its convertible top, when he was shot in the arm and chest, police said. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police are searching for a man described as black, 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a slender build and shoulder-length dreadlocks.
